Kiwanis Invites Families to “Christmas for the Kids” for a Free Day of Holiday Fun

The holiday season is about to get a little more magical in Carefree! On Saturday, November 28, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the Kiwanis Club of Carefree invites families from across the community to celebrate Kiwanis Christmas for the Kids, a festive holiday tradition filled with activities, animals, treats, giveaways and plenty of Christmas cheer.

Best of all, the entire event is free!

Each year, downtown Carefree comes alive as families gather to make memories and kick off the holiday season together. From visiting Santa and Mrs. Claus to meeting some very special four-legged guests, Christmas for the Kids offers something fun around every corner.

Holiday Fun for the Whole Family

Guests can look forward to:

  • Santa and Mrs. Claus, ready to hear Christmas wishes and pose for those must-have holiday photos.
  • A special photo opportunity with a camel and her adorable baby, sure to become a family favorite!
  • Live animal encounters featuring fascinating Arizona creatures.
  • Miniature ponies ready to meet their young visitors.
  • Hayrides through the festive sights of Carefree.
  • Free hot dogs and cotton candy to keep everyone fueled for the fun.
  • Face painting, balloon art and games for kids of all ages.
  • Hourly bicycle giveaways, with more than 50 brand-new bikes raffled by age group throughout the day. Winners must be present to claim their bikes.

“The ‘Kiwanis Christmas 4 the Kids’ Event is one of Kiwanis of Carefree’s Signature Events and is inspired by sharing the warmth of the Holidays, Family, and fun with our Local Cave Creek and Carefree Communities, and beyond.” Committee Chair Cam Kuniej added, “ This one-day event is a fun way for us to get everyone involved, give back to the community we serve, and center it around one day of magic for the local kids. Come celebrate with us this year!”

Behind the scenes, Kiwanis volunteers and local high school students work together to make the celebration possible, giving their time and energy to create a memorable holiday experience for local children and families.

Whether it’s a child meeting Santa, posing for a picture with a camel and her baby, taking a hayride, winning a brand-new bicycle or simply spending the day together as a family, Kiwanis Christmas for the Kids is all about creating moments that make the season special.
