CAREFREE, AZ — The Kiwanis Club of Carefree proudly celebrated another inspiring year of student achievement during its annual scholarship awards ceremony, honoring the outstanding Class of 2026 scholarship recipients. With more than 350 attendees filling the auditorium to near capacity, the evening was a powerful celebration of academic excellence, perseverance, leadership, and community spirit. Proud parents, grandparents, friends, educators, and approximately 35 Kiwanis members, Kiwanis Marketplace volunteers, and employees gathered to recognize the remarkable accomplishments of local students preparing to begin the next chapter of their educational journeys.

This year’s ceremony carried special meaning as the Kiwanis Club of Carefree celebrated 40 years of giving back to the community. One of the most memorable moments of the evening came through heartfelt testimonials shared by past scholarship recipients, who spoke about the lasting impact the scholarships and community support had on their lives, education, and future success. Their stories served as a meaningful reminder of how community investment can help shape futures for generations to come.

The Class of 2026 scholarship recipients represent an impressive group of future leaders with aspirations spanning healthcare, engineering, education, science, business, aviation, communications, architecture, veterinary medicine, the arts, and public service. Students will continue their educational journeys at colleges and universities across Arizona and throughout the country, pursuing careers that will positively impact communities for years to come.
