Linda and Sandra Attend the International Kiwanis Convention
Linda Wright presented a report at the Kiwanis Lunch on July 6th, on the visit she and Sandra Carrier made to the Kiwanis International Convention in Indianapolis on June 8th – 11th.
They partook in the Youth Protection Policy Program where every Kiwanis Club is expected to keep our membership informed about compliance requirements in meeting with children. Details can be found on the website at: Kiwanis.org youth protection
The program also provided National Statistics on Abuse of women, men, and boys and girls of all ages.
The program further provided National Statistics on mental health issues of children’s mental health issues including suicide. It further noted that Abuse is usually in the hands of know acquaintances or family members.
Linda also announced that she will be mounting a major move toward getting the Kiwanis of Carefree Chapter the international recognition we deserve for all we contribute to our local communities.
