Bella Vista PREP Presentation on RoboBears Success

Tom Leard, Chairman of the Schools and Education Committee introduced Vicki Burow and Lisa Artenian from Bella Vista College Preparatory School who then provided a presentation on the success of the RoboBears Community Robotics team for 1st Place in the For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST) Alliance Competition. The RoboBears were invited to participate in the Championship in Houston, Texas in May 2022.  Students from Bella Vista College Preparatory School, Cactus Shadows High School, on-line schools  and from within the community met throughout the year to design, program, build and market the robot to the specifications designated by  FIRST Robotics.  The RoboBears are a community robotics club open to all 9th – 12th grade students from the community and  is sponsored by the Carefree Kiwanis and Boeing as well as community support.
